The Atlanta Homeless Continuum of Care’s coordinated entry process is designed to help homeless individuals (either staying in a place not meant for human habitation or in an emergency shelter in City of Atlanta) and families access services and housing resources no matter where or how they present. The coordinated entry processes prioritize assistance based on vulnerability and severity of service needs to ensure that people who need assistance the most can receive it in a timely manner.

Information collected is connected to program eligibility. The information that is entered into the workflow for prioritization and eligibility is: disability information, age, gender, income, household composition, and veteran. This information is not used to screen out but to match with the appropriate housing solution.
