For citations eligible for online payment, a green payment button will display when viewing your case on the Find My Case Tool. If eligible, the ticket can be paid on the Municipal Court of Atlanta Payment Portal prior to your scheduled court date to resolve the case. The portal accepts credit or debit cards (American Express, Discover, Visa and Mastercard). The fine must be paid in full. If the citation is paid in full by the business day before your scheduled court date, you do not need to attend court.
Please be advised, paying a citation online is the same as entering a Guilty Plea. For certain driving offenses, a Guilty Plea will impact your driver’s license. If you are paying a Failure to Appear (FTA) fine online, the record will be electronically transmitted to DDS within 48 hours of the case being closed.
A Guilty Plea can be reported to the Department of Driver Services (DDS) and, for certain driving offenses, the following can occur:
NOTE: If you hold a Commercial Driver’s License, please contact DDS before paying your fine online.
The Court accepts money orders by mail and in person. Cash is accepted in person.
If you are unable to pay the fine amount in full, you must appear in court before a judge for possible payment options and alternatives.
For citations that are ineligible for online payment, the final fine amount will be set by a judge on your court date.
